Search Engine Optimisation

Your website can be optimised to obtain an enhanced position within the natural listings of the search engines. We follow Google's webmaster guidelines to give your website every opportunity to gain its optimum position. We are very successful with natural listings, currently all of our optimised websites have multiple page one listings* on search engines such as Google or Yahoo. However these positions are not guaranteed.

(Please be careful when enlisting the services of an SEO company, those that claim to guarantee positions should be avoided. Many use unethical techniques that can cause your website to be de-listed entirely.

On Site SEO

On-Site optimisation involves a number of processes which need to be carried out within the infrastructure of the website. This infrastructure is what the search engines crawlers look for to find out what your website is about. Search engines cannot read images, flash or javascript so there is a balance that needs to be found between aesthetic design and readable content.

Even if you already have a website, but it's not appearing as you'd like npwebservices can help. Basically we carry out a scan of your site, then scan the market leading website for your primary search term and armed with this information we can provide your existing web developer with the code to be placed within your website. Alternatively you can pass the entire management to npwebservices.

Off Site SEO

Sometimes it's not enough to simply provide this coding as there are other important factors which determine positioning.

The amount of, and relevance of other websites that link to your site has a considerable impact on how it's ranked. Basically every link is effectively a vote for the site which search engines take into account. The difficulty lies in that you cannot go out and just buy hundreds of backlinks as this is in violation of Google's webmaster guidelines and can negatively impact your site's ranking in search results. Examples of link schemes can include:

  • Links intended to manipulate PageRank

  • Links to web spammers or bad neighbourhoods on the web

  • Excessive reciprocal links or excessive link exchanging ("Link to me and I'll link to you.")

  • Buying or selling links that pass PageRank

In addition to back linking there are many items you should consider. See Corporate SEO packages for more details.

Which service is right for me?

This usually depends on the level of competition and volume of results carried by the search engines for your primary search term. If you business scope is local with nominal competition Standard SEO (On-site) or Standard Plus (On & off site) SEO should get your listing onto page 1. If you face higher levels of competition you'll need to consider Advanced SEO. If your scope is regional or national then you'll require Corporate SEO.
